Die Duftnäherin

Novel

Germany in 1349. Finally, the sixteen-year-old Anna has the opportunity to escape from her violent father. She makes her way to Bremen, the hometown of her deceased mother, accompanied by the young Gawin. Here Anna finds accommodation in the house of a soap boiler. She becomes a seamstress and comes up with something very special: she sews soap into the seams of the clothes and thus creates wonderful fragrances. Soon her extraordinary creations will appeal to the high-ranking ladies of the city. Anna and Gawin keep their beginning love as a secret first - simply because they presented themselves as siblings.
